Amazing

Amazing~ Saving Able

Under the stars I feel so far away
Closer to you is where I wanna be
Missing you as far as I can see
Just I’m longing (longing longing..)

I see your face in a crowded scene
I see your face in everything
No matter what form you seem to take
Still I’m longing (longing longing..)

Over and over I – I remind myself
Every time you show me how you feel
Every time you tell me this is real
There’s no way that I could ever keep this a secret
You’re amazing (you’re amazing)

Every day I fall in need
Deeper with you is where I keep
Keep all the promises I couldn’t keep
But I want to (want to want to..)

Over and over I – I remind myself
Every time you show me how you feel
Every time you tell me this is real
There’s no way that I could ever keep this a secret
You’re amazing (you’re amazing)

I can see, my eyes are wide open
‘Cause I don’t wanna ever miss a moment
I will never go another day without saying
You’re amazing (you’re amazing)

Yea, you’ve changed my life around
When I couldn’t change it
You lift me up when I was down
I’m just saying (you’re amazing)

Tell me how you feel
Tell me this is real
There’s no way that I could ever keep this a secret
You’re amazing, amazing

I can see, my eyes are wide open
‘Cause I don’t wanna ever miss a moment
I will never go another day without saying
You’re amazing (you’re amazing)

Amazing, amazing…

Six word memoir #6

I will forever be proud to be Canadian.
<3

Six word memoir #5

When you are with someone you should always be there for each other. So we made a promise that no matter what happens we will be here for each other. No matter how far we are apart we will be here for each other in the end.

Six word memoir #4

In high school many young people feel trapped, feel like they are doomed to be this way forever. So I chose this picture of my school and the sunset because there is always hope for them. You can't always look at the bad side of the things you've just got to look on the bright side. There will always be more things to look forward to, to be happy for.

With every sunset and sun rise there is a new beginning.

Six word memoir #3

I think this six word memoir really does speaks for itself. My sister has been the one that from the very very start who has been there for me. Yes, when we were young we wanted to almost rip each others hair out, but now she is and will always be my very best friend. We have become really close in the past few years and I am glad we did. Fighting as we used to is not the type of relationship I wanted with her. So never take your family for granted because family is everything!

Six word memoir #2

This phrase in the past few months have really helped me a lot. I chose to be in a relationship with a really great person. With relationships do come some challenges and this is one that we have to face almost everyday. Distance... Its not always easy to see each other as much as we would like to. But when we do have that chance to we will drive for many hours and many miles to be together again. All those miles are definitely worth it for us both.

Writing Reflection #3

Six word memoirs

Last week in class we worked on our six word memoirs. I found writing six word memoirs are rather easy to do, if you get a good topic its really easy create a lot of them. I chose to go for solitary confinement by the windows in the corner of the school. I chose to go sit alone because its easier to think about my writing when I am alone. It makes it feel like the pressure to write well is off my shoulders. The Pros of doing six word memoirs are you don't have to be the best creative writing, you literally just have to pick six words and that's it. It's a rather simple writing style out of the very many that are out there. The Cons of six word memoirs are that you have to be able to get your point across in very short form. I think you must have a type of creative side to be able to come up with many of them. The most rewarding part of the six word memoirs was when we got to put the words to a picture. It was cool to look through tons of my photos and find the very best ones that went with my six word memoirs.

Blogging

So far blogging for me I think is going very well, I always thought the idea of having my own blog would be fun, but never really got around to it all. I find the hardest part of blogging is trying to keep my post interesting. I am always afraid my post will suck, and people will stop coming back to read more. I think for the upcoming week I will challange myslef to add more posts to the blog and to really step up my writing skills as much as possible.

Six word memoir #1

The reason I chose this picture to go with this six word memior was becasue my best friend Courteney I know we will always be here for one another. This picture was taken on the day of her graduation.... Courteney never looked forward to her grad, no one in her family was ever really there to support her through it all. We have been together through thick and thin times. I always know whatever happens in life we will always have eachothers backs.

Rugby

Where to start....Wow it's hard to believe this picture was taken just two years ago! It's crazy to think that this team is no longer what we use to be. But I gotta say I absolutely loved playing Rugby with this amazing group of girls. In a matter of a few short months this team went from nothing, to one of the top best teams in the division! It's also hard to believe we went from a team where almost every single player had never played a single game of Rugby ever to this! I have to admit Rugby for sure is not like any other type of sport that most girls play.

This team picture was taken at our game where we won 52-0 against another school named Kelvin. Being able to win that game really boosted the confidence as a newbie team!

Rugby has been played since before 1940, its definitely a game I think more people should give a chance and actually play it.
This picture here was taken at one of our at home games at my high school College Sturgeon Heights Collegiate! What's great about Rugby is you play in rain, shine, snow, pretty much any type of weather! Also in this picture you can tell the + 25 heat was really getting to us. Rugby is a definitely a sport were you give it your all. A few times some of my teams mates have been taken of the field and sent right to the hospital. Its a crazy tough sport on your body. But it's a game we all love!
GO HUSKIES!!

Reading Reflection #2

The Taker

Alma Katsu

Pages #62-80

Through this book over and over again more characters are introduced to the reader. Many of the new characters are introduced during Lanny's flash back again. This time the new character that we meet is called Magdalena. In the town of St. Andrews it's really rare and frankly unheard of for a woman to be living alone without a husband or with a family. So Magdalena is frowned at because she is not working to support herself he is looking for hand out from the rest of the town. When really she has her own ways of providing for herself.... Magdalena is the town’s prostitute. Lanny is mesmerized by Magdalena because she is unlike any of the other women in their small town. I think Magdalena is some type of witch, I believe she is the one who makes Lanny and Jonathan immortal. Both Lanny and Jonathan in the present day have these tattoos that were made by the same person. I really think that person is Magdalena.

If I had the chance to be immortal I believe I wouldn't take it. The reasons why I would do this are because I wouldn't want to live without my family and I couldn't picture myself living forever without them. Who would want to wander the earth for the rest your days alone? I do believe everyone dreams of being immortal at some point in their life and dream of what they could see and experience in all that time.

Happiness...

What is happiness? Does anyone really know the answer to this very question? Happiness can be defined in many many ways, to many different people. Happiness can be the birth of a new born child, winning your very first hockey game, a poor man getting a proper meal, falling in love for the first time... Happiness can be whatever you choose to make.

For myself, going to Europe for the very first time was my definition happiness. It has always been a dream of mine to travel to Europe. I have always been in kind of awe of the way things, and the average day in Europe would be like. You could say it's been a life long dream of mine! What really got me motivated to go was when my older sister Celia, went on an amazing 18 day trip with her husband Rob. They traveled to many great countries like the Netherlands, Italy, Great Britain, Germany and tons more. Seeing their pictures was absolutely the highlights of those 18 days for me. I would over and over again be refreshing the page to see if new ones were loaded. I without a doubt  loved seeing the love and  happiness my sister  and brother in-law were experiencing on this chance of a life time.

You could say I finally got a little taste of happiness in grade ten when my Culinary Art teacher asked me if I would love the chance to go to Italy in March on Spring Break of 2011. At first I honestly thought it was a joke and he was just pulling my leg..... But as the months got closer and closer to my up coming trip I could hardly contain myself. It was really all I could talk about to anyone, I am pretty sure they were getting sick of it all. It was definitely worth the wait!

My tour group ended up having only 18 of us. I don't think I could have imagined this experience with any other people or any other way. There a few people that for sure stand out in my mind when I think about this trip!  This trip may have had it's ups and downs, but it really was a little piece of happiness to add to my own puzzle of life.

For me this was my definition of happiness! I just wanted to thank the select few people who made this trip possible and help make the trip what it really ended up to be. I will always cherish the memories and pictures.

Happiness... make it yours.

Travel<3

I really love to travel, and last year I got the chance of a life time to go to Italy. It was my first over seas trip. I was asked by my Culinary Arts teacher if I would be interested in going. I knew there was no way I was going to let this chance pass me by. It took me over half a year to fundraise and work for this trip. But in the end it was more than worth it. In this picture myself and the rest of the tour group are sharing some great memoirs that I will forever cherish at The Trevi Fountain in Rome. This was the only night that we really got to go tour at night, so it was a blast to be able to experience Italy's night life!!

Digital Footprint.

This is my digital footprint, the reason I chose these pictures are becasue this is my life and my effect on the internet. Everyone using the internet for thier own reasons, mine is for social media, finding new books, seacrhing up new countires to travel to, listening to music, shopping, sport and finally look for many ideas for tattoos. :)

Reading Reflection #1

The Taker

Alma Katsu

Pages #45-62

While reading my book this time it was rather easy for me to find text connections. It actually was easy to make a text to self-connection reading because during one of Lanny’s flash backs, a character that was being introduced turned out to have the same last name as my boyfriend. The two of then share the last name Poirier. So that text to self was easy.

There were many things while reading, that I found myself commenting on this time. A lot of things were being told, we find out so much background story to the main character Luke. I found out that Luke is still mourning his mother’s death which only happened a short time ago. When his mother died he had a pretty traumatic experience, her body began to move again after 15 minutes of her heart not beating. She opened her eyes and looked at Luke and her hand began to squeeze his back. Luke wasn’t sure this was the cause of something supernatural or not. Luke’s mother died just after he went through a really hard divorce with his wife. But what made matters worse was that his mother passed away in the very hospital he works at. Another one of the things I found myself commenting on was the fact that Lanny just out right told Luke and the police that she stabbed a man to death and left his body in the middle of the woods.

I believe what makes Luke want Lanny for is the fact that she is immortal. Immortality is something almost everyone thinks of having. To live forever would be quit something to achieve. I don’t think it’s just the fact she is beautiful, it’s the combination of these two things. I think in the end Luke will try and become whatever Lanny is.

What immortality means in this setting of this book, is that these people who are like Lanny have been this way since they settled this town. The town was helped shaped by these people; the town is the way it is because of them. They made it what it is today in the present time.
