Halloween

            Tonight I get to go out all dressed up for a Halloween party! I am really excited to be going out because I get to wear my Pink Ladies Costume! The Pink Ladies are the "girl greasers" from the movie GREASE! The movie Grease is set in the 50's, so that's why I have the silly cat eye glasses and the polkadot scarf! I am so excited!!! :P

JAM!

          This weekend I am proud to say I learnt something new! I learnt how to make strawberry jam and the whole process that goes along with making it! It is rather neat  how jam is actually made, it's also very sticky one as well. But in the end it was a blast to learn how to make. The little chef in me really enjoyed this all! In all today my boyfriends mom and I have made a cake, two dozen cookies, two batches of strawberry jam, and now finally we are about to make cheese crescents. Its all very yummy and my boyfriend will for sure be a happy campier when he gets home from work on the pipelines tonight! :)

The reason I chose to add this song and picture is because at the wedding my boyfriend and I met at, Springsteen was the one of the first songs we ever danced to together. So it's a song the will always mean a lot to me.

Reading Relfection #4

From Dead To Worse

              When it comes to reading I am not very not very good at just reading a few pages during class.  When I go home I just have to pick up the book again and just keep reading as much as possible. So as you read these reading reflections you will find out very fast that almost every other time it's about a new book! While reading so many books and so fast its hard to do my questions, comments and predictions but, I try my very best to continue to do them. I have made predictions but, while reading so much they have been answered later on in the book.  Some comments I do have about this book is that the author Charlaine does know how to keep the reader guessing, she knows how entertain an audience, and she sure knows who that audience is. Unlike Fifty Shades of Gray and it very descriptive writing this book does have at some point that kind of theme but, Charlaine doesn't go all the way in depth. Which I do appreciate, I enjoy her books but sometimes it could be a little much.

Banff

     This picture is of beautiful Banff National Park here in Canada. The reason I chose this picture for another one of my personal additions is because I am finally getting the chance to road trip there this January! The reasons I am travelling here this winter are many. I finally getting to learn how to snowboard and to celebrate my 18th birthday. It's beyond exciting to be able to experience many things this year, I find there are a lot of things I will be accomplishing this year along with graduation. So many things are coming very fast in my future that I can't wait for. Along with snowboarding for the first time and turning 18, I get to go on a road trip for the first time without family. I have never been on a road trip without them! So that will be a really fun experience. For now I am just working hard towards this trip I want to make the very most of it and make the most of this year. :)

Reading Reflection #5

             In class this week we created an iPhone that made as if it was one of our character. My iPhone is inspired by the vampire character Eric Northman.

Writing Reflection #4

            The six word memoirs were not that very hard of an assignment this week, they were pretty fun to make. The only hard thing when it comes to the is creating or making a picture to go along with it. What I learnt from this micro form is that you don't have to be the smartest student or the greatest writer. Almost anyone can use this form of writing and be very successful at it. The part that I preferred the most was the visual aspect, I love photography so being able to show off some of mine was fun to do. I found out that I love to create things like these six word memoirs, I already knew I loved to read, but I think I need to become a more open minded thinker.

Reading Reflection #3

All Together Dead

                This week while reading I decided to change the book I was reading. The Taker was a good book, but it just wasn’t grasping my attention too much while I was reading. So I switched books and now I am reading  All Together Dead from the Sookie Stackhouse series. It’s one of the many books that the show True Blood is based on. I think between the show and the books, the books by far are better. I found when I picked up this book I just couldn't put it down again. Books like this are the type I love to read, they make you want to keep turning the pages to see what happens next. Since I did pretty much the whole book in one shot it's hard to really answer the comments, question, and predictions. But one question I do have is what will happen to Sookie and her friends after the explosion at the hotel they were staying at for the vampire summit? Did any of them die, or did they all survive? After I am finished with this book I plan on continue to read the last two in the series.
